3. Honesty is the Best Policy

Honesty is divine. One should be honest in thought, mind, work and words. There is no
alternative to honesty. If you are dishonest, you have always a fear of being caught. No
one trusts a dishonest person. He cannot make progress in life as people would not like
             to be associated with him.

Once you tell a lie, you will have to tell a number of lies to establish your lie as a truth. A
liar is always held in contempt.

Even nature is in favour of honesty. Honesty brings happiness, whereas dishonesty can’t
bring happiness in life. An honest man may be poor, but he leads a contented life,
whereas a dishonest man, though rich, lives in worries and fears. Therefore, honesty is
undoubtedly the best policy to be adopted in life.

                                             4. Science is a Blessing or a Curse

Science is both a blessing and a curse. The advancement of science has done so much

that one cannot live even a few minutes without using the inventions of science. The
development of science gifted us the self-sufficiency in food production. The revolution
in the field of communication and other electronic media are the outcome of the
development of science. In the field of medical science, a significant development is
done by science. But, at the same time, science is also the main cause of many evils.

Pollution, birth of new diseases, various destructive weapons, etc. have created fear of
destruction of the life on the earth.

                                             5. Do Not Build Castles in the Air
It is not wise to count our chicken before they hatch. When our hopes are dashed, we

feel sad and irritated. When things do not happen exactly as we wanted them to happen,
we have a feeling of disappointment. We must not fly too high. After all, one who goes
up, does come down some time or the other. Success and failure are not permanent.
They may or may not happen to you. Walk on the plain of reality. What is real and
practical, is surely a cause of no trouble. If we have too high hopes and expectations

from anyone, we are bound to meet dismal failure. Try to live on the ground, walk on it
and feel it. It is your wisdom. One who soars too high, falls to the ground abruptly. Know
             your limits and capabilities.

                                                 6. My Day at the Seashore

Among my favourite places to visit is the beach. I would not want to live there because I

would not want to be cleaning sand out of my clothes and other belongings all the time.

                                                                  119
