Internet has brought the world closer. Our life is worth-living because of the endless
blessings of science. Today, man is leading a happy life because of science.
2. If I Were a Millionaire
This is not a reality. It is possible only in dreams. It is just a wish. But, if it happens, I will
not let this opportunity slip out of my hands. I will catch it immediately. I very well know
that times, chance and tides wait for none. If I miss this all-time opportunity of my life, I
shall be a fool, which I do not want to become.
When I get millions of rupees in my pocket, I shall be the master of the situation. I shall
complete all my incomplete jobs. I shall get a cosy and comfortable house. I shall buy a
big car. I shall soar high in the sky. I shall be a free bird. I shall go around the world. I shall
visit all the countries of the world. I shall go from east to west and from north to south. I
shall drive to the other end of the globe. I will be the luckiest person of the world.
But before doing all this, I want to help the poor and needy people of our country who
cannot even get the basic necessities of life – food, clothing and shelter. One gets real
happiness in helping others. When I see other people smile, I also smile. What can be
the biggest happiness in life than getting blessings from so many people.
3. A Visit to an Exhibition
A visit to an exhibition is both educative and instructive. One learns a lot. One meets
new people. One is acquainted with new things of life. One knows what is going on
around the world. What progress has been made in the fields of science and technology
is displayed in exhibitions.
This year in the month of November, a great exhibition was arranged in Guwahati. One
day, I decided to visit it alongwith my classmates. We had the itinerary (route, guide
book) map of the place. We visited pavilion after pavilion. There were Indian as well as
foreign pavilions. Almost all the states of India were represented. It gathered a heavy mob
of visitors. They showed their best in their home and cottage industries. The apples of
Shimla and Kashmir were also exhibited. I purchased some of them.
First of all, we went to Pakistan’s Emporium. The dry fruits of Kabul were very alluring.
We bought a few packets of almonds. The shawls, carpets and rags of the neighbouring
country were very tempting. I bought a woollen shawl for my grandmother. I really
enjoyed my visit to an exhibition. Such exhibitions are very rare. We should not miss to
attend them.
