Exceptions

             G    In  exclamatories,  we  use  what  a  /  an+(Adjective)+Noun  or  how+Adjective+a  /
                  an+Noun.

                  Read the following examples:
                       What an    idea!                    What a   grand victory!

                       What a    fall!                     How   beautiful is the  scene!
                       How    nice  day!   a               How   cold an   evening!


             G    Such is followed by a/an.
                  Read the following examples:
                       1.  I have never seen such a       man.

                       2.  She is such a    beautiful girl.

             G    Article (a/an/the)  is placed before an adverb if the adverb comes before an adjective.
                  Read the following examples:

                       1.  He is   very honest person.a
                       2.  This is an   extremely cold day.


             G    Sometimes the      article comes after an adverb.
                  Read the following examples:

                       1.  It is almost the   same lesson.
                       2.  He gave me quite a       different dish.

             G  All/Both are used before ‘the’.

                  Read the following examples:
                       1.  All the   candidates reached the hall in time.

                       2.  Both the    girls wore same colour dress.

             G    So as how,  ,    and  too take adjective followed by    a/an – noun.
                  Read the following examples:

                       1.  This is as big a hall   as you looked for.
                       2.  I realised how small an offer      he had made.

             Omission of the Article

             We do not use any article in some cases.

             G    Before names of people, games, parts of the body.
                  Read the following example:
                       Mohit is a smart boy.
