she will pick up the broom and clean our surrounding areas and roads. Rather we should
do it ourselves.
First, we should not make public places dirty and if it happens we have to clean it as only
we are responsible. This responsibility needs to be understood by every Indian citizen.

There is need to change our mentality as only this can keep India clean. Lots of cleaning
resources and measures cannot be effective enough to keep India clean until we change
our mind always keep the nation within our hearts that the whole country is our home
and we need to keep it clean. It is our property, not other’s. We need to understand that
a country is like a home in which various family members jointly.

As we all are aware that things inside the home are our own property and we never
make them dirty and spoiled. In the same way, we need to keep in mind that everything
outside the home is also our own property and we should never make it dirty and keep it
clean. We can change the drastic situation of our country through collective ownership.

Instead of infrastructural improvements, effective plants for waste treatment from
industries, agriculture and other fields, laws and rules by the government, etc. we need to
think and consider our own responsibility using our own mind and effort. It is not the
responsibility of the government only. It is a collective responsibility of each and every
Indian citizen.

It is true that we cannot clean the whole country in a day or a year, however, it will be
our big hand if we stop making filthy the public places in India. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
(or Clean India Mission) is a clean India drive run by the government of India to cover
around 4,041 statutory cities and towns of India to clean the roads, streets and making
better infrastructure of the country. We should respect and follow this national campaign

and support it wholeheartedly in every possible way.

2. Importance of Education

First of all, I would like to say good morning to the respected principal, teachers, parents
and my dear friends. I would like to deliver a speech on the importance of education
today. Education plays a great role in the life of everyone. Getting proper education is

very necessary to get success and happiness in life just like food is necessary for healthy
body. It is very important to live a luxurious and better life. It develops personality of the
people, provides physical and mental standard and transforms people’s living status. It
promotes the feeling of physical, mental and social well-being by providing better life.
Good education is constructive in nature which shapes our future. It helps a person to
improve his / her status of mind, body and spirit. It provides us lots of confidence by
giving us the treasure of knowledge in all the fields of life. It is a single and vital way to

success as well as personal growth.
