The more knowledge we get, we grow and develop more in life. Being well-educated

never only means to earn certificates and good salary from recognised and reputed
organisations, companies or institutions. However, it also means to be a good and social
person in life. It helps us to determine whether something is good or bad for us and other
persons related to us. The first purpose of getting good education is being good citizens
and then being successful in personal and professional life. We are incomplete without
good education because education makes us right thinkers and correct decision makers.

In such a competitive world, education has become a necessity for human beings after
food, clothes and shelter. It is able to provide solutions to all the problems. It promotes
good habits and awareness about corruption, terrorism and other social issues amongst
us.

Education is the most important tool. It offers inner and outer strength to a person.
Education is the fundamental right of everyone and capable of bringing the desired
change and upliftment in the human mind and society and help us in making this world a
heaven on the earth.

3. Independence Day

Very good morning to the honourable Chief Guest, respected teachers, parents and to all

my dear friends. I wish you all a very Happy Independence Day. We all are excited about
celebrating this great day in such an wonderful manner. First of all, we hoist our
honorable National Flag and then give a salute to all the heroic deeds of the freedom
fighters. I am so proud to be an Indian citizen. I am honoured to have been given this
great chance to give a speech on the Independence Day in front of you all.

We celebrate Independence Day every year on 15 August because India got freedom on
the night of 14 August, 1947. Just after the Independence of India, Pandit Jawaharlal
Nehru had given a speech on the Independence Day in New Delhi. Now, after

independence, India has become the largest democratic country in the world. Our
country is the most famous country for its distinctive feature of Unity in Diversity.

Because of the hard struggles and sacrifices of our brave and selfless freedom fighters, we
are now able to enjoy the freedom and breathe fresh air according to our wish. Getting
freedom from the Britishers was really an impossible task. But, those brave hearts of India
who did not even care for there lives made it possible.

Today is a very significant day for all Indians. We celebrate this day to remember at
recollect the sacrifices of great Indian leaders who had given their lives for the freedom
and prosperity of the country. Freedom of India was possible because of the cooperation,
sacrifices and involvement of all the Indians. We should value and salute all the Indian

citizens because they all are the real national heroes. We should keep faith in the
