2. Read the following telephonic conversation and write a message in about 50

words. Put the message in a box.
Sumit : Hello!
Namit : Could I speak to Komal?

Sumit : Who is that?

Namit : This is Namit, her tutor.
Sumit : I am Komal’s brother. She is not at home. Can I take the message?
Namit : Please, convey her that I was to come today at 6 p.m. But due to some

unavoidable circumstances I cannot make it today. However, I can
come tomorrow if it is convenient to her. She can ring me in the
evening and confirm the time.

Sumit : OK, I will tell her about that. Anything else?
Namit : That’s all. Thank you. Bye!
Sumit : Welcome, Bye!

Sumit was to leave immediately for his coaching class; he left the following message
for Sumit.

Komal,

Your tutor Mr Namit called at 5 pm. He wanted to convey that he will not be able
to come today. He can come tomorrow if it is convenient to you. Give him a ring
to confirm the time.

Read the following telephonic conversation between A and B and then write a
message as B has to go out.
A : Can I speak to Mr Dhawan?

B : I am sorry. He is out of station.
A : When is he expected back?
B : He will be home by tomorrow morning.
A : Could you remind him that Monika’s wedding is on 24th April? We had planned
to go together. But, since I have an urgent meeting, so I will not be going for the
wedding. Preeti is going and he can join her. Tell him to give me a ring when he
comes back.

B : Sure, uncle.
A : Thank you.
