             Read the following articles:

             1. Write an article on the topic “What is Ailing Our Tourism.”

                                                 What is Ailing Our Tourism

India is known for its rich flora and fauna, beautiful landscapes, glorious past and

varied cultural trends. All this makes India a major attraction for tourism. However,
the reality is far from this. Tourism in India has been constantly suffering setbacks due
                  to its insufficient tourism industry.

Bad and filthy roads, rickety buses, over-priced taxis, delayed trains, all make
travelling a nightmare in India. Moreover, the absence of decent and hygienic
accommodations at reasonable cost, adds to the distraction of tourists visiting India.
Besides, the growing menace of terrorism is a huge deterrent for tourists.

The Government of India needs to put concrete efforts in place to revamp tourism in the
country. Utmost emphasis should be placed on infrastructure development and beefing
up the security. Such efforts will certainly make India a leader in the world of tourism.

             2. Write an article in about 180 words on the topic ‘Save the Planet Earth’.

                                                     Save the Planet Earth

This is a cause of complete concern across the globe today. The global warming has
accelerated the rise of temperature on the earth, which is said to have risen by 40°C.

The sea level is also rising. The glaciers are also melting away. There has been very
less rainfall in the recent years resulting in the scarcity of food around the world. The
death rate due to starvation has increased immensely. We, the human beings are
solely responsible for this calamity. We pollute our planet in so many ways.
Deforestation, industrial pollution, toxic wastes, vehicular pollution and lack of
greenery are the chief causes of imbalance in the eco system.

The urgent need of the hour is that each one of us takes step to save the planet in
every possible way. We should protect our forests, save fuel, plant trees, take care of
toxic pollutants, conserve water and change our lifestyle.
