Soon after, the slave is caught by his master’s men and put in front of a lion to be killed.

             The lion charges at the slave but stops in its tracks. The slave and the master are shocked.
             Why did the lion not kill the slave, they wonder. But, the slave understands because this
             is the same lion he helped while in the jungle. The lion was just returning his kindness.
             The master summons the slave and asks him the story, which he narrates. The master’s
             heart softens and he sets both the slave and the lion free.

                                                  4.  Think Before You React
































             Ramesh was a God fearing person. He was a poor fellow who pulled rickshaw to support
             his family. He lived with his wife and a son in a hut near the jungle.

             During the occasion of Diwali, he brought three pieces of sugar-made statues of Sadhus
             as sweet to eat. He kept these pieces in an almirah.

             Next  day,  three  real  Sadhus  came  and  asked  Ramesh  to  give  them  some  food.  He
             welcomed them. As the sadhus entered his house, his wife prepared some food, while
             his son was playing with those sugar statues. His son asked his father about those sugar
             made statues, “Papa, what are these?”

             Ramesh  said  “My  dear  son,  these  are  Sadhus.  We  will  eat  them  after  the  meals.”  His
             words were heard by the real sadhus who were eating food. They thought that Ramesh
