D. Read the following paragraph and answer the questions that follow.
Gandhiji had somehow picked up certain bad habits during his boyhood days.

But he had a sensitive mind, and consciously got rid of those habits. He and
another boy, would daily see a man in the family smoking cigarettes. The man
would take a deep puff and blow out clouds of smoke from his mouth. It was a

fascinating sight for these boys. They would pick up stubs of cigarettes and
smoke them because they had no money to buy cigarettes. The servant kept
money in a box which was locked. They thought why not steal the money and

purchase cigarettes with it. As soon as this idea came to their mind, they stole
the servant’s money and satisfied their desire for smoking. Finding his money
stolen, the servant raised a great hue and cry but he did not suspect his

master’s son. Gandhiji felt very much ashamed and resolved not to do such an
evil act again.
