                   It  was  summer  and  the  cricket  sat  on  an  ear  of  corn  happily  singing  and
                   enjoying the sun. He felt extremely sorry for the ants, who worked ceaselessly
                   looking for grains of wheat to take back to their store. He thought that they
                   really  did  not  know  how  to  enjoy  life.  But  soon  winter  came  and  the

                   thoughtless cricket had no food to eat.

                   He would surely have died of hunger if it had not been for the generous ants
                   who had given him some of their grains.

             B.  Read the following paragraph and answer the questions that follow.

                   Sindbad was an adventurous sailor of Bagdad. He made many voyages across
                   the sea. During one of his voyage, he and his men reached a deserted island.

                   They saw a Roc’s nest in the island and tried to break it and see if there were
                   any gems inside. Just then a huge bird flew in. They rushed to the ship in panic
                   and  tried  to  move  away.  But  the  huge  bird  followed  their  ship  overhead.  It
                   held a huge rock in its claws and dropped it on their ship. The rock hit the ship

                   and broke it into pieces. The ship sank with all the sailors on board. Luckily,
                   Sindbad was saved.
