A word used with a noun or pronoun to point out the person, animal,

place or thing or to tell the number or quantity is called an adjective.

Surbhi is a
very nice girl.

Agam is
very clever.
Surbhi has
a black cat.

Adjectives tell the size, shape, colour and other things of the noun or pronoun.
Read the following examples:

1. Deepak is a wise boy.
2. He donated hundred rupees.

Types of Adjectives

There are eight types of adjectives. They are:

Adjectives of Number Demonstrative Adjectives

Distributive Adjectives Interrogative Adjectives
