Travelling by Metro Train

Thousands of people travel by Metro
Train everyday. We can buy tokens
for travelling to any distance. Regular

passengers use smart cards. They
put the card at the sensing device on
the entry and exit gates and the fare
is deducted from the card’s account.

We need a passport if we want to visit a foreign country.

Passport is a document given by the Government of India. The foreign visit is
also approved by the Government
of India. This is known as Visa.

We can travel within India by air
without a passport. Air travel is

an expensive means of travel.

People may have to travel from
one place to another for various
reasons. They may buy goods
from one place and sell it in

another place or they may go in Aeroplane Passport
search of work or even they might move to a place that has more work
opportunities.

Earlier, travelling was much slower because proper roads were not built.
Today, we can travel very fast because of proper road, rail and air transport.

* For travelling by public transport, we have to buy tickets.
* The Indian currency consists of coins and notes.
* E-ticketing saves us from standing in a long queue for tickets.

* Air travel is an expensive means of travel.
* Passport is a document given by the Government of India.
