For travelling by public transport, we have to buy tickets. We need to spend
money to buy tickets.
Currency
Every country has a particular type of money that is used to buy things in
that country. It is called the currency of that country. The currency of India is
Indian Rupees (`). The picture of ‘Gandhiji’ is printed on all the currency
notes of India. It is printed as a sign of respect to the ‘Father of the Nation’
Currencies made by metals are called coins and those made of paper are
called notes.
Coins
Each coin has two sides – one side has its value
marked on it and the other side has the National
Emblem. Some coins even have its value and the
National Emblem marked on the same side. Coins of Different
Denominations
Collection and study of coins of different countries is called numismatics .
Travelling by Train
For travelling by train, we have to buy tickets from the ticket counter at the
railway station. If we have to travel a long distance, then we should reserve a
berth in advance. Long distance trains have many coaches, like
first class AC, 3rd class AC, sleeper, general, etc.

Indian Railway’s Reservation website allows the passengers to buy tickets
online and pay by credit or debit cards. Passengers can also check train fares,
train routes, availability, reservation and confirmation of tickets on this site.
E-tickiting saves us from standing in a long queue for tickets.
