Moti : But .... I’m not particularly fond of gardening. Do you live in Rajpur all
the time?
Rajkumar : Yes, I have a small place there, a house and a little farm that I look after.
Moti : A farmer? Oh! I thought you are a prince.
Rajkumar : You thought, I am a prince!
Moti : Well, never mind. My imagination gets a bit carried away sometimes.
But, don’t you find it boring to live in a small town like that?

Amma : She’s just the girl for you. Believe me. (goes out, calling)
Lambi, beta. Come here. Rajkumar wants to talk to you.
Mother’s voice goes off stage, talking in a whisper. Lambi comes in, wearing her newest and
most fashionable clothes.
Lambi : Hi! Ma says you want to talk to me.
Rajkumar : Yes, well, I’m Rajkumar and I know your uncle.
Lambi : Yes, Ma told me.
Rajkumar : Do you know your uncle well?
Lambi : No, he left here a long time ago.
Rajkumar : Would you like to go to Rajpur and look him up?
Lambi : Ma said it might be a good idea to say yes.
Rajkumar : Rajpur’s a small town....
