A paragraph is a short composition on a single theme.

1. Being Punctual

Being punctual means to do all the works on time. Punctuality plays an important
role in every walk of life. Students must reach the schools and colleges on time.

Workers, managers, officers and executives must attend their duties on time. Trains,
buses, aeroplanes must arrive and depart at the right time. Thus, if every right thing
is done at the right time, there will not be any dislocation anywhere. Therefore,

punctuality is the key to success. A man who is punctual in his everyday life never
fails in his life.

2. Education

Education is one of the basic activities in all human societies. The word education

is derived from the Latin word educate which means to bring up and is connected
with the verb educate which means to bring forth. The idea of education is not

merely to impart instructions to the pupil in certain subjects but also and principally
to bring him up or develop in him those habits and attitudes which may enable

him to face the future with ease and confidence.

3. Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi was born at Porbandar in Gujarat on October 2, 1869. His father
was the Dewan of the Porbandar State. He was very truthful from his boyhood
days. Gandhiji believed in non-violence and love. He lived a simple life. His heart

bled for the poor and the oppressed. He said that all men were equal. He wanted
them all to live in peace. He dreamed of a Ram Rajya where everybody would live

in peace. He was against the modern civilization. Instead, he wanted his
countrymen to live in the villages. His philosophy and deed are so great that he is
regarded as “Mahatma’’ meaning “Great Soul’’.
