            1. Using the multiplication table find quotient of the following.

                 a. 55 ÷ 11 ; Q = _________ b. 104 ÷ 13 ; Q = _________

                 c. 144 ÷ 16 ; Q = _________ d. 150 ÷ 15 ; Q = _________

                 e. 112 ÷ 1 ; Q = _________ f. 0 ÷ 85 ; Q = _________

                 g. 36 ÷ 4 ; Q = _________ h. 72 ÷ 8 ; Q = _________

                 i. 42 ÷ 7 ; Q = _________ j. 81 ÷ 9 ; Q = _________

            2. Write two division facts for each of the following multiplication facts.

                 a. 6 × 8 = 48 48 ÷ 8 = 6 48 ÷ 6 = 8

                 b. 11 × 8 = 88 ___________ ___________

                 c. 11 × 9 = 99 ___________ ___________

                 d. 15 × 6 = 90 ___________ ___________

                 e. 9 × 7 = 63 ___________ ___________

                 f. 8 × 9 = 72 ___________ ___________

                 g. 12 × 5 = 60 ___________ ___________

            Long Division Process

Division by 1-Digit Number and Its Verification

            Without Remainder

            Example : Divide 63 by 7.

            Solution :

Step 1 : First, we read the multiplication table of
                                                                                                   7 6 3 9
                          7 till we don’t get 63.
                                                                                                      – 6 3
            Step 2 : 7 × 9 = 63
                                                                                                        0 0
Step 3 : Write 9 in the place of quotient and 63

                          below the dividend.

            Step 4 : After subtraction 63 from 63 we get 0 as a remainder.

                          Thus, 63 ÷ 7 = 9 (Quotient = 9, Remainder = 0).
