2. Write a division fact for each of the following.

                 a. 10 8 6 4 2
                                                                                                            5
                       – 2 – 2 – 2 – 2 – 2 10 ¸ 2 = 5 or 2 10

                        8 6 4 2 0

                 b. 16 12 8 4

                       – 4 – 4 – 4 – 4

                       12 8 4 0

                 c. 24 18 12 6

                       – 6 – 6 – 6 – 6

                       18 12 6 0

            Properties of Division

H When a number is divided by 1, the quotient is the number itself.

                   For example : 36 ÷ 1 = 36

                                         560 ÷ 1 = 560

H When a number is divided by the number itself, the result is 1.

                   For example : 40 ÷ 40 = 1

                                         852 ÷ 852 = 1

H When zero is divided by any other number, the quotient is 0.

                   For example : 0 ÷ 12 = 0

                                         0 ÷ 462 = 0

H When any number is divided by zero, it has no meaning.
