Look at the following examples.

In the last subtraction problem, first borrow 1 hundred from 8 hundreds.

Now in place of 0 ten you have 10 tens in the tens column. Now, borrow

one ten from 10 tens. 4 ones + 1 ten borrowed become 14 ones in the ones
column.

Example : Subtract 3285 from 5657.
