Looking Back
Raju is very fond of animals. At home, he keeps the following pets :
4 dogs, 2 cats, 3 birds, 3 fish and 1 monkey. He can show the collection of
his pets like this :
This diagram is called a picture graph or pictograph .
A graph is a diagram that helps us to see differences quickly and easily.
Picture graphs take a long time to draw. Raju finds it simpler to show the
collection of his pets in blocks, like this :
