Addition of 3-Digit Numbers with 1-Digit numbers

Without Regrouping
Example : Add 342 and 6.

Step 1 : Arrange the numbers in the ones, tens and hundreds
columns.

Step 2 : Add the ones column i.e. 2 one and 6

Step 3 : Now, add 4 tens and 0 tens, we get 4 3 4 2

Step 4 : Similarly, add 3 hundreds to 0 hundred, 3 4 8

we get 3 hundreds.

Thus, 342 + 6 = 348

With Regrouping

Example : Add 428 and 3.

Step 1 : Arrange the numbers in columns. H T O

Step 2 : Now, add 8 ones and 3 ones, we get 11. 4 2 1 8

Carry 1 ten of 11 to the 2 tens. + 3
