A transitive verb that represents its subject as acting is said to be in the

active voice. And a transitive verb that represents its subjects as passively
being acted upon is said to be in the passive voice.

                                                                       Look there.

He is drawing drawn by Raj.
                     a fine art.

When the Active Voice is changed into Passive Voice, few important changes need to be done.
G Subject is changed into object and object is changed into subject. This means that

subject of the active voice becomes the object of the passive voice and object of the
active voice becomes the subject of the passive voice.
G ‘By’ is used before the object of the passive voice.

It is usual to express actions in the active voice. However, passive voice is used in the
             following cases:

G When we do not know who has performed the action.
                  Read the following examples:

My wallet was stolen in the bus.

(We do not know who stole it)

                                                                    7 80
