2.  I felt  tired. So, I went to take rest.

                            Feeling tired  , i went  to take rest.

             Now,  we  will  study  misplaced  participles      .  A  participle  is  a  verb  that  functions  as  an
             adjective, so it must come close to the noun or pronoun that it modifies.

             A misplaced participle      does modify a noun or pronoun that is in the sentence. It is just
             note close to it, so it seems to modify something else. The sentence must be rewritten to
             move the misplaced participle        closer to the word that it modifies.

             Read the following examples:

                  1.  Moving from flower to flower, I watched the butterfly.
                       In the above sentence, I am not moving from flower to flower, the butterfly is.

                       So the correct way of writing it is –

                       I watched the butterfly moving from flower to flower.

                  2.  Sitting in the last row, the blackboard was hard to see.
                       In the above sentence, the blackboard wasn’t sitting in the last row.

                       The correct way of writing it is –

                       Sitting in the back row, I couldn’t see the blackboard well.

             G  The gerund are verb-nouns ending in            -ing.

                  Read the following examples:

                       1.  Dancing is an art.                              Both Participles and Gerunds end in -
                                                                           ing, but their functions are different.
                       2.  I love singing.
                                                                           The participles are like adjectives and
             G  Gerund is verb + -ing         . The following verbs               gerunds are like nouns.

                  are followed by -ing form (the gerund):
                  miss           suggest              continue            can’t help          enjoy

                  mind           finish               put off             go on               keep

                  avoid          give up              dislike             stop

                  Read the following examples:

                       1.  Could you please finish eating        the burger soon?
                       2.  I avoid eating    spicy foods.

                       3.  I like making    drawings.

                       4.  They enjoy skating     .
