Sentences can be changed from one form to another.
Rewrite the following simple sentences as compound sentences.
1. The old man being weak could not walk properly.

Let us learn how one type of sentence changes into another.
1. Sentences With or Without the Adverb ‘Too’
G The too…to form is changed to the so/much…that form.
Read the following examples:
1. This rod is too hot touch.to
This rod is hot so that I cannot touch it.
2. Harry Potter was too good movie miss.to
Harry Potter was such a good movie that I did not want to miss it.
G The so/such…that sentence is a complex sentence. The tense in the subordinate
clause depends upon the tense in the main clause.
2. Interchanging Affirmative and Negative Sentences
While changing an affirmative sentence to a negative sentence:
G use a word of opposite meaning after a negative word or use double negatives.
