             A verb must agree with its subject in number and person.




                  In the chart below, write the correct form of the regular present tense
                  verb.

             In order to make a sentence read sensibly, the verb has to agree with the subject.

             Read the following examples:
                   1.  A scientist discovers new facts.

                         Scientists discover new facts.

                   2.  She has     a car.
                         They have    cars.

             G     Generally, the verb is placed very close to its subject. But, sometimes, it is far removed
                   from its subject. So, we have to be very careful that the two agree with each other.

                   Read the following example:             The price   of these shoes is very high.
