                   Dear Karan,

I hope this letter finds you in the best of health. It has been more than a year since
we got together. I enjoyed the time we spent together last time you visited and
having a plan to have more fun this summer when we will be together.

Anyway, the reason I am writing this letter to you is that I am moving to a new
house. As you know that I had a difficult time last year in monsoon when my roof
and walls got damped and started dripping water which made me spend on new
carpets and furniture. Therefore, I decided to move to another house that does not

                   have the same issues.
Let me tell you about this new locality and house I am moving in. It is in a posh area
of the city which is clean and green. This new house has 4 bedrooms and every
bedroom has an attached bath, one lounge and spacious kitchen. The interior is

                   very beautiful.
I cannot wait to see you again. And don’t forget to give my love to all your family.

                   Best regards,

                   Sahil Girdhar

We will now learn how to write Invitations and their replies.

Extending invitations to friends and relatives on occasions like marriage, birthday,
engagement, death, public function, etc. is a part of social etiquettes. It can be in the

form of an invitation card which is a formal way of inviting people or it can be in the
form of a note or a letter which is a more informal way of inviting somebody.

             Tips for Writing an Invitation

             1. Determine the nature of the occasion: Determining the nature of the occasion will
set the tone for your invitation.

             2. Make sure all the necessary details about the occasion are included: All the details
such as the event, the date, the time, the place and the attire needs to be
                   mentioned.

             3. State if a response is required: Indicate “R.S.V.P.” if you need the people you invited
to confirm their attendance for the event. This will make it easier for you to know
                   the number of expected guests.

             4. Proofread your invitation: Impressions are important in an invitation, so checking for
errors and making the necessary grammar correction is imperative.
