For preparing food, plants need air. Air also takes away seeds of
few plants to different places and plants grow up there without the
sowing of seeds.
Air carries clouds bringing rain to different places.
Properties of Air
Air Occupies Space
When we fill a balloon with air it becomes bigger.
This means air occupies space.
Air Has Weight
Weigh a balloon initially without air. Now, fill the
balloon with air and weigh it. The weight of the
balloon will increase. This shows that balloon has
become heavier. This means that air has weight.
Air Contains Water
When we pour ice-cold water in a glass, we can see
water droplets outside the glass. This shows that air
contains water.
Uses of Air
Air and wind help us in many different
ways. Our earth is covered by a
blanket of air. This is
