A.  Imagine that you have been given a room in the house of your dreams.
                  Write  three  to  four  paragraphs  describing  your  room.  Write  about  what  it  looks  like,
                  where it is and why it is so interesting.

             B.  The following is a telephonic conversation between Shalini and Nalini. Shalini has some
                  work in office and cannot meet. Nalini’s sister Arundhati. She leaves a message for her.
                  Nalini      :   Hello!

                  Shalini     :   Hello. could I speak to Arundhati?

                  Nalini      :   I’m sorry Arundhati is not at home. She has gone to her dance class. I’m her
                                 sister Nalini. Would you like to leave a message for her?
                  Shalini     :   Yes, I’m her friend Shalini. We were to meet in Palika Bazar today at 5 p.m.
                                 to do some shopping. But, I have some urgent work in my office and will be
                                 delayed. Could you tell her to meet me at 7 p.m. instead?

                  Nalini      :   I’ll inform her as soon as she comes back.
                  Shalini     :   Thank you, bye.

                  Write the message in about 40 words.





             Write all the words that rhyme in this poem. Can you use these words to make up a poem of
             your own? You could recite the poem for your class.

             Preparation time  :  Topic can be given a day in advance.

             Work in pairs and make a map of an island with at least five to six places marked. Then, write
             a description of a trip that you plan for visitors to the island.

             Now, work with another pair. Give them the map and read out the description of the trip and
             let them mark the route on the map.
