Multiplication by 10, 100 and 1000
H To multiply a number by 10, we put one 0 (zero) to the right column.
For example : 58 × 10 = 580 32 × 10 = 320
H To multiply a number by 100, we put two 0 (zeros) to the right
column.
For example : 96 × 100 = 9600 28 × 100 = 2800
H To multiply a number by 1000, we put three 0 (zeros) to the right
column.
For example : 85 × 1000 = 85000 16 × 1000 = 16000
