Example : Subtract the following.

Example : A container contained 10 l 250 ml of water. 8 l and 680 ml of
water was used. How much water was left in the container ?
Solution : Container contained = 10 l 250 ml
Water used = 8 l 680 ml
We have to find out the left water. So, we will subtract as :

1 5 7 0
\ 1 l 570 ml water was left in the container.
