Conversion
Observe the given examples carefully.
Example : 2 l = 2 × 1000 ml = 2000 ml
3 l = 3 × 1000 ml = 3000 ml Always multiply
by 1000 to convert
4 l = 4 × 1000 ml = 4000 ml
l into ml.
5 l = 5 × 1000 ml = 5000 ml
Example : 8 l + 250 ml = 8 × 1000 ml + 250 ml = 8250 ml
9 l + 685 ml = 9 × 1000 ml + 685 ml = 9685 ml
2 l + 84 ml = 2 × 1000 ml + 84 ml = 2084 ml
Addition and Subtraction of Capacity
The process of addition and subtraction is measures of capacity is the same
as that of natural numbers.
