Addition of 2-Digit Numbers with 2-Digit Numbers

With Regrouping

Example : Add : 64 + 28

Step 1 : Write the numbers in columns.

Step 2 : Add the ones first. Step 3 : Write 2 in the ones

4 ones + 8 ones column and take 1 ten to

the tens column.
= 12 ones
Step 4 : Add the tens.

T O 6 tens + 2 tens + 1 ten (carry over)

1 = 9 tens

+ 2 8 Write 9 in the tens column.
