Addition of 2–Digit Numbers with 1-Digit Numbers
With Regrouping
Example : Add 27 and 3.
First, write the numbers in columns as shown below.

+ 3
Now, add the ones : 7 + 3 = 10
Regroup 1 ten to the tens column.
And then, add the tens : 1 + 2 = 3

Write the sum of
tens in the tens
column.
Thus, 27 + 3 = 30
