             Noun-cases is another topic which comes under noun. The case of a noun

             tells us about the position of that noun in a sentence.






                                                   Hi, Manik!
                                                   I am going
                                                   to school.







                                                                                                  Did you meet
                                                                                                  my cousin on
                                                                                                     the way?
                                              Yes, I met your
                                          cousin. She is coming
                                                behind me.











             Cases of Nouns
             There are five cases in nouns. They are:


                  Nominative Case               Objective or Accusative Case                  Vocative Case

                  Dative Case                   Genitive or Possessive Case

             G    A noun is said to be in nominative case        if it is the subject of a verb.

                  Read the following examples:

                       1.  Sonia    eats apples.
                       2.  The painter     paints the portraits.


             G    Nouns are said to be in objective case        if they are the direct objects of verbs or if they
                  are the objects of preposition.
