G Put a fullstop (.) in place of exclamation mark (!).
The above two exclamatory sentences can be written as assertive sentences as follows :
1. The stadium is big.
2. He is a great singer.
To find the subject in a question or an exclamatory sentence, write it as an assertive sentence.
Read the following examples:
1. What a delicious dish it was! (Exclamatory )
It was a delicious dish. (Assertive )
2. Have you given the money? (Question )
You have given the money. (Assertive )
G In Imperative sentences , a command, expression, an advice or a request is
expressed. An imperative sentence also ends with a full stop (.).
Read the following examples:
1. Stop making noise. (command )
2. Please, keep silent. (request ) A subject in an Imperative
sentence is never stated
3. Be polite. (advice )
but it is always ‘you’.
