Tenses are verb forms. The tense of a verb shows the time of an event or

action.

Manik, where are
you going? I am going for
morning walk.
Ok, let’s go.

hmm
Are you coming
with me?

Tell me, I have
been waiting for
your answer for
5 minutes.

There are three types of tenses. They are:

Present Tense Past Tense Future Tense

G Present Tense expresses actions in the present time. It tells what is being done
currently.
Read the following examples:

1. I am happy. 2. We are late.

G Past Tense expresses actions in the past time. It tells what was done some time back.
Read the following examples:

1. I was happy. 2. We were late.
