2. Now, let us read a passage from Vanshika’s diary.

                   April 26th, 20___ 10:30 p.m.

This day, April 26th, 20___ of the year instant will always remain in my memory as
the most memorable day of my life.

I had long desired to have a bike of my own. When I reached home after my
coaching classes, I saw a brand new Scooty in front of my house. The shining
white scooty once again sparked my desire. I looked at it with longing eyes and
walked up the stairs to my third floor house. Dad was sitting in the drawing room

reading the newspaper as usual. He called me and asked me to sit by his side.
There he handed me the keys of my scooty and told me that it was my birthday
                   gift.

How can I forget this day ever in my life? I thanked my dad and mom. I will
always cherish this day as the most memorable day.
