Present Continuous Tense
G We use the present continuous tense to tell what is happening now.
Read the following examples:
1. Harshit is sitting in a spaceship.
2. The stars are twinkling in the sky.
G It is also used to describe an action that is going on during this present period of
time.

1. He is living in Delhi.
2. More and more people are becoming vegetarian these days.
G It is also used to talk about a fixed plan in the near future.

1. I am going to visit my grandmother’s house tomorrow.
2. They are participating in the competition next week.
The present continuous tense of any verb is made up of two parts – is / are / am +
ing form of the verb.

are + walking = are walking
