3. Hidden Treasure

A farmer had four sons. They were very lazy. One day the farmer fell ill. He called
all his sons. He said, “I have lots of treasure.” Some of them are in my field. But, I
forgot where it is. You can find it if you dig the field. The old man died. Then, they

went to the field. They dug the field but could not find. Then, an old man advised
them to sow the seeds in the field. Very soon the field was covered with a good

crop. That crop was the treasure of the farmer.

Moral: Treasure is always hidden in hard work.

4. The Blind Old Lady and the Doctor

There was an old lady. She was blind. She

consulted a doctor. But she made an
agreement with him that she would pay him
a high fee if he cured her. The doctor

agreed and started to treat her. But after
some time, he started to steal valuable

things from the old lady’s house. When he
visited her for the last time, the old woman

saw that her house was empty. She refused
to pay him.
