The active cell is also referred as cell pointer or selected cell. An active cell refers to a cell
               in Excel spreadsheet that is currently selected by clicking mouse pointer or keyboard keys.
               Only one cell can be an active cell at a time. An active cell is bounded by a heavy border
               around it.





                                                                       Selecting All Cells

                                                                       Press Ctrl + A keys from the

                                                                       keyboard to select the complete
                                                                       worksheet.

                                                                       The entire worksheet will get
                                                                       selected.









             Selecting a Row

             Point the mouse pointer towards the number

             of  the  row  which  you  want  to  select.  The
             mouse pointer will change to an arrow. Click
             on the number. The row will be highlighted.











                                                              Selecting a Column

                                                              To  select  a  column,  point  the  mouse  pointer
                                                              towards  the  alphabet  of  that  column.  The
                                                              mouse pointer will change to an arrow. Click

                                                              on  the  alphabet.  The  column  will  be
                                                              highlighted.
