Browsing
Browsing is the act of looking through a set of information quickly, without
a specific sense of purpose.
A web browser is a program on your computer that allows you to access
website on the internet.
8 The first step to start browsing is to open the Start menu and click on
the browser.
8 Browser can also be opened by double-clicking on its desktop icon.
8 Write the URL of the website you wish to open in the address box and
press Enter key. The home page of that website opens.
Netiquette
The Internet, just like the world we live in, has certain rules that people
should follow. A set of rules for acceptable online behaviour is called
netiquette. To follow netiquette, do the following.
8 Spell-check what you have typed to help others understand you
correctly.
8 Do not use all caps in your mails or messages because it is
considered shouting.
8 Betruthful in the information you provide online. However, be mindful
of the online safety rules that you have learnt in Class 3.
