There are some important terms that we will frequently encounter while
working on the Internet.

Website : A collection of electronic pages on the world wide

web (www) that has unique name or address is known as websites.

Web Page : An electronic page of information on the www is known

as web page. Many web pages together make up a website.

Web Address : The unique name or address that a website has on the
internet is its web address. This unique address is also known as URL .

Surfing : Moving from one website or web page to another on

the www is called surfing.

Hyperlink : A text/picture on a web page that changes the

mouse pointer to a shape and when clicked takes us to

another linked page / section is called hyperlink.
