24-Hour Clock
Some places like railways, airways, etc. work for 24 hours in a day and use
24-hour clock time.
We use the 24-hour clock to avoid confusion between morning time
(a.m.), afternoon and evening (p.m.).
In a 24-hour clock, after 12 (p.m.) noon instead of calling the next hour 1
o’clock, we say 13:00 hours, 2 p.m. is 14:00 hours and so on.
In a 24-hour clock, 4 digits are used for writing the time. In which, first 2
digits show the hours and the last two digits show the minutes.
