Short Method
Example : Divide 15 ÷ 3
15 is divided and 3 is divisor.
Using multiplication fact 3 × 5 = 15 , we get 15 ÷ 3 = 5 therefore 5 is
the quotient
Long Method
Let us divide 15 by 3 using long division method.

\ 15 ¸ 3 = 5
