             A sentence is a group of words that makes a complete sense.





                                                                                                    The cow can
                                                                                      A cow is
                                                                                                    run after the
                                                                                   grazing there.       thief.















                                                          Look! There
                                                           is a thief.












             A sensible and meaningful combination of words is called a sentence              .
             A sentence always begins with a capital letter and ends with a full stop (.) or a question

             mark (?) or an exclamation mark (!) .
             Read the following examples:

                  1.  Girls are eating apples.
                  2.  I do my homework daily.


             Word – Order
             The sequence of words in a sentence refers away especially as governed by grammatical
             rules and as affecting meaning.

             Read the following examples:

                  1.  Not Monday do like I.
                  2.  Ran the thief after they.
