Active voice is when the subject performs the action. And in Passive voice
the subject is no longer active but is instead being acted upon by the verb.
Read each sentence and change each active voice sentence into a
passive voice sentence.
1. Agam shot the basketball at the hoop.

The active voice expresses an action in which the subject is
actively engaged. Only a transitive verb
Read the following examples: has an active and
1. Shikha sing a song. passive voice.
2. The teacher reads its contents aloud.
The subject in the passive voice is not the doer of the action but its recipient.
Read the following examples:
1. A song is sung by Shikha.
2. Its contents were read aloud by the teacher.
When changing a sentence from active voice to passive voice, following points should be
kept in mind:
