             Comprehension  means  understanding  a  passage  or  writing  which  you  haven’t  seen

             you and your ability to express what it says, in your own words.

                  NASA is the abbreviated form of National Aeronautics and Space Administration. It
                  was set-up in 1958 as a part of the United States Government. It is responsible for
                  the  operations  and  maintenance  of  US  Science  and  Technology  that  is  associated
                  with airplanes or space. It does a lot of things. It makes satellites. The satellites help

                  scientists  to  learn  more  about  the  Earth.  NASA  scientists  study  things  in  the  Solar
                  System  and  even  farther  away.  A  new  programme  has  sent  humans  to  explore
                  asteroids, Mars and beyond. NASA is headquartered in Washington, DC. There are
                  10 NASA centres located across the United States. More than 18,000 people work
                  for NASA. From its start, NASA began to plan for human spaceflight. The Mercury,
                  Gemini and Apollo programmes helped NASA to learn about flying in the space. This
                  led to the first human landing on the moon in 1969. NASA has astronauts working on

                  the International Space Station. They have visited every planet in the Solar System.
                  Scientists have looked far into space using telescopes. NASA satellites help people to
                  better understand weather patterns on the Earth. It also helps to develop and test
                  new aircrafts. It works to make air travel faster and safer. People at NASA also share
                  the things they learn with others. This helps to make life on the Earth better connected

                  with each other and work together for further development and advancement.
