Only a noun or a pronoun can be the subject or object of a verb. So, ‘how to run this
system’ and ‘to go home’ are doing the work of a noun and are, therefore, called Noun
Phrases.
G Adjective Phrase is a phrase that acts as an adjective in a sentence.
Read the following examples:
1. The prince is wearing a crown made of gold .
2. My brother is a man with good habits .
G Adverb Phrase is a group of words that act as an adverb in a sentence.
Read the following examples:
1. I will leave in an hour . (time)
2. Meet me at the theatre . (place)
3. He answered in a polite manner . (manner)
