A pronoun is a word that takes a place of a noun.
Kinds of Pronouns
There are mainly three kinds of pronouns.
Personal Pronouns Possessive Pronouns Reflexive Pronouns
Personal pronouns are used in place of the nouns that name the people. They are
of three types:
First Person is the person who is speaking – I we me us, , , .
Second Person is the person or thing which is spoken to – You thee thou, , .
Third Person is the person or thing which is spoken of – he she him her they, , , , ,
them it, .

Possessive pronouns show possession of something.

Singular Plural
mine ours
yours yours
his / hers / its theirs
Reflexive pronouns are used as objects of the verb. The action of the subject turns
back on the subject itself.
