Nouns ending with s z x sh ss, , , , and ch change into plural form by

adding -es .

Some nouns end with .y

G If there is a vowel before , we change into plural form by adding . -y -s

For example:

boy boys lay lays

toy toys buy buys

G If there is a consonant before , we change into plural form by -y

replacing with -y -ies .

For example:

lady ladies diary diaries

city cities family families

Some words which end with or are changed into plural form by f fe
replacing or with f fe ves .

For example:

wolf wolves

leaf leaves

In some words, only the vowels change to make them plural.

For example:

tooth teeth goose geese

foot feet man men
