Present continuous tense: This tense expresses actions that are happening now or that are
in progress.
For example:
Prince is watching television. (actions that are in progress)
They are completing a project together. (actions that are in progress)
Present perfect tense: The present perfect tense expresses actions that happened at time
that is not specific and actions that started in the past but continue to the present.
For example:
I have travelled to Paris. (actions in the past of indefinite time)
My mom has been a clerk her entire professional career.
(actions that started in the past but continue to present)
Present perfect continuous tense: The present perfect continuous tense expresses actions
that began in the past and continue to the present and actions that have recently stopped.
For example:
The baby has been crying for hours (actions that began in the past but continue to
present)
I have been waiting for you. (actions that have recently stopped)
